Spanish nationality application for Sephardim of Spanish origin

The descendants of Sephardic Jews expelled from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), can obtain Portuguese nationality based on the Decree-Law 30-A / 2015 of February 27. For this, it is necessary to prove Sephardic ancestry through a genealogical study and have the certificate of Sephardic origin issued by the Jewish Communities of Portugal. Once the certificate proving the Sephardic origin of the interested party has been obtained, the application for Portuguese nationality is submitted to the Ministry of Justice of that country.
